Lighting and Motion Blur

Been playing around with the lighting and adding Motion Blur.
Really pleased with how it's looking, though the main charecter is kind of getting lost in the background so I'll have to find some way to fix that up.

Background modeling

Had some weird issues rendering this clip, for some reason the .avi wouldn't render past him falling through the building roof despite the fact that watching it render I saw it rendering all the remaining frames.

Oh well you see were I'm going with this, basically adding more depth and detail into everything.

Now I'm up to texturing everything wich is going to be a long and slow process.
I'm thinking I might post an update after I finish each building otherwise I won't post anything for another couple of months

550 keyframes later

So I finally have something to post again.
550 key frames, keep in mind key framing isn't the final product more the minimum amount of frames to convey the movement. I spent most of last night trying to figure out how to render at 15 fps instead of 30 so you would be able to see what the hell is going on, but no luck so far. If I figure it out I'll reupload it.

Animation Test With Bag

Ok so I've spent the past couple of weeks playing around with various cloth modifiers to try and get the effect on the bag that I'm happy with. I've ended up going with a mix between cloth modifier and key framing. The actual key framing on the bag here is pretty off, and the animation on the character isn't perfect either. This is mainly just a test to see if it all works.

I've also put in my first shot at a skybox, it bounces around like crazy at the beginning and I'm not sure why. Just needs some playing with and it should be fine.

I'm going to start actually working on the final thing next, started some rough modeling of the environment this morning.

The yellow and blue is a vestige of the 'game design' I have in mind. Basically the controls for the game would work with standard left right up down arrow keys/d-pad. As well as an over button and an under button which would be context sensitive. Yellow indicates over, or up movements, blue indicates under or down movements.

Animation Test

So after fiddling around with the rigging I managed to fix up the main problem with the crotch (Basically the bi-ped's pelvis was on backwards for some reason)

This is just a quick shot of me mucking around with animation, basically trying to get a feel for animating in 3D since I've never really done it before.

Texturing

Ok so now Google has decided that I'm not a spambot I'm allowed to post on my blog again.

So I finished texturing and rigging my model.

The problem as you can probably see with the running animation. Is that the deformation in the rigging is rooted. So I'm going to see if I can fix that up in the model without having to start over again from scratch, either way the uv unwrapping is going to have to be completely redone. So yay for that.

Well lesson learnt, rig before uv unwrapping.
